Sass & Bide has conquered the runways of New York Fashion Week before, but now it’s time for the trendy Australian label to take over the real runways of New York City – the stylish, cobble-stoned streets of SoHo. The Sydney-based, cool-girl brand famous for starry sequins & skin-tight denim has opened it’s first international flagship store on Broome Street, and they’re not holding anything back when it comes to downtown shopping domination. In collaboration with award-winning Aussie design firm Akin Creative and Brooklyn design collective Guild, the 2,000-foot space has been transformed from a blank canvas to a modern yet organic dream land, with focus on the driftwood-inspired sculpture that is intertwined throughout the white-washed, gallery-esque setting. Expect to see of-the-moment styles that made the Aussie designer dream team of Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton internationally recognized, such as laser-cut leather peplum tops, geometric-embellished jumpsuits, and metallic spray-on jeans. Also, ten specially made pieces will be exclusive to the SoHo location, including black-and-white striped wide-leg pants & white chain-embellished cropped capelet.
