Italian cashmere specialist Brunello Cucinelli’s chic West Village outpost feels like a slice of his company headquarters – a 14th century castle in his wife’s hometown of Solomeo, Italy. Cucinelli started his line in 1978, initially inspired by the United Colors of Benetton’s brightly-colored wool sweaters, designing a similar line of cardigans, turtle-, V-and crew-necked sweaters all in cashmere, and eventually expanding his brand into a luxe sportwear lines for men and women. Expect the best light-weight cashmere pieces money can buy, along with silk dresses, flannel blazers, and jackets.
